There were a few practical effects used to create a doppelganger, including someone's hands in shot and moving things... very simple stuff.

I got my crew to be the druids that were caught on camera in the story. This was part of the transmedia where Karen finds a website that mentioned the video clip, tweeting the link so the twitter followers can click and continue the story.

There was some expense to the project - about 2000 pounds. Costumes were part of this.

Karen is excited to go to Croham Hurst for her job at the Croydon Museum.

I had to use my two main actors to fill the group of druids... with their backs turned.

Darren begins to behave strange after his solo journey into Croham Hurst.

This was actually a pre-read of the script and the first time the actors met. I used the photo to build up history for Karen and tweeted it just before the story went live, so that people believed she'd joined twitter awhile ago and had tried tweeting.

Darren finds the portal! This was a tree arch I found while scouting Croham Hurst and thought this would be perfect as the place Darren meets his doppleganger.

Darren walks around the flat while Karen sleeps... filming himself in the mirror, before coming face to face with his doppelganger.

This was a shot where we had to transfer the camera from Gemma's hand to my one so that Benjamin could move away from the tree and appear behind her shoulder in one take.
